Time for a Change

After 15 years of working with various IT consulting companies, or VARs (Value Added Resellers) – I’ve decided it’s time for a change.  While I’ve enjoyed the time, and the opportunity to work with lots of different technology and products, what I’ve found is as an IT generalist, you sometimes feel like you can’t dive deep enough into certain areas.  To change that, I’ve decided to dive deep into a product I love and focus on it and it’s ecosphere.  Thus, the big news: I am joining Veeam! Awarded vExpert title for 2017

I was honored today to see the announcement that I was awarded the title vExpert for the 5th year in a row. vExpert is a title that VMware awards to those that have made significant contributions to the VMware community.  The title doesn’t show a particular level of technical expertise; but rather shows that those awarded have a strong desire to share what knowledge they have with others.  Most vExperts either blog, are VMUG leaders, speak at local events, contribute on the VMTN boards, or even speak at large events like[…]

Top vBlog 2016 Results – I’m in top 100!

Yesterday Eric Seibert, Eric Wright, and John Troyer announced live the top 25 vBlog results for 2016.  If you missed it, you can watch the recording here and see the post here. This year, I made it into the Top 100! I’m thankful to all those who have voted, not[…]

vExpert 2013 awarded

Last night, John Troyer (@jtroyer) announced the new list of vExperts for 2013 here. I am ecstatic and humbled to be selected to be a member of this great group for the first time! The VMware community has been a wonderful community to be involved in, and I don’t know of any other place where people are so willing to ask and offer advice and answers  for problems and questions that others have. I am honored to have been selected, and hope that I can give that much more[…]

Blog Online

Well, I have got my blog up and running now. Unfortunately, I probably spent more time just picking a theme I liked than anything else. As mentioned in my about page, I decided to blog because I wanted to make content available for people with similar problems or questions. Also, I think this will be a great way to keep me more up to date with technology, and more sharp with my troubleshooting skills.  After reading Justin’s Why I Blog post, I decided I should too.  I’ll just have to[…]
