Passed VCP510 Exam

This morning I took the VCP510 exam and passed! This was a little tougher than the VCP4 exam.  85 questions, and it took me an hour.  Lots of good questions.  This is one thing that I have liked about VMware, is that they make it near impossible to pass these without hands-on experience (either production, or a lab). Good luck if you are going to take it soon – remember, you have until the end of February to pass otherwise you will have to take the “What’s New” course.

MCITP: Server Administrator

Today I took 70-646, Windows Server 2008: Server Administrator and PASSED!  I am now an Microsoft Certified IT Professional, Server Administrator. I liked this last test in the bunch.  Instead of just 50 multiple choice questions, it was 22, and had 5 case studies.  The case studies were what I liked.  They gave you a good deal of information about what the client’s needs, and requirements are – and what you were implementing.  Then, you had 5 – 7 questions about designing a solution. MCTS: Windows Server 2008 AD Configuration

Today I passed Microsoft test 70-640: Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuring.   This test covers quite a large spectrum of information, including: DNS Multi-Site Domains (Sites and Services) Group Policies Auditing Federation Services Rights Management Services Cert Services Windows Backup Authorative & non-authorative restores of Active Directory FSMO Roles Trusts RODC (Read Only Domain Controllers And more…..
